BIPOC Doulas

Wellness Within is leading work in Nova Scotia to address exclusion and oppression in doula practice. With partners including the Mi'kmaq Child Development Centre, Eskasoni First Nation, Paqtnkek First Nation, Mulgrave Caring and Learning Centre, Promoting Leadership in Health for African Nova Scotians, the Community of Black Nursing Students, Nova Scotia Public Research Group and the Elizabeth Fry Society of Cape Breton, we have hosted 8+ trainings to improve the representation of Black, Indigenous, People of Colour and Queer doulas. If you would like to partner with us to host a training, be in touch! womenswellnesswithinns@gmail.com.

WW trainees will regularly be informed of professional development opportunities when available.
