Name Change: Women’s Wellness Within Changes Name to Better Reflect Mandate and Values

Women’s Wellness Within (WWW) has become a recognized leader in reproductive justice advocacy across the country. The organization began as a grassroots initiative aimed at providing doula and parental support to women in the provincial jail in Dartmouth (“Burnside”).

Over the years, much has changed. We expanded our scope to reflect a more expansive vision of reproductive justice, prison abolition, and health equity. We extended our mandate to better represent the population we serve and we grew our advocacy and educational campaigns. In light of our continued evolution towards a more inclusive, equitable and abolitionist organization, we’ve decided to change our name.

From now on Women’s Wellness Within will now be known as Wellness Within: An Organization for Health and Justice.
